Hi Guys!!! Just recently I bought the AeroGarden Harvest Elite Slim. In this article, I want to show you an unboxing of this device and tell you about all its features.
|Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim (100695-PPL)
|Number of pods
|Max grow height
|11.4″ (29.2 cm)
|Min grow height
|4.8″ (12.3 cm)
|Low Water Reminder
The Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim light hood is the same shape and size as the bowl. It looks high-quality and reliable.
The power of the LEDs is 20 watts, which is sufficient for growing almost any plant. Most of the LEDs are white, but there are also some blue and red ones. The Aerogarden company states that the lifespan of LEDs is 2-4 years.
The hood is connected to the base with a light post. The post cannot be detached from either the base or the hood. It consists of two parts, allowing you to adjust the grow height. The maximum grow height is 11.4″.
Depending on which plants you grow, the light may work for different amounts of time.
- Flowers – 15.5 hours;
- Vegetables – 16 hours;
- Salads – 16.5 hours;
- Herbs – 17 hours.
The Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim bowl is deep enough and has plenty of room for roots. It is made of quality plastic and has a stainless steel finish on the outside.
Traditionally for Aerogarden, the bowl of Harvest Elite Slim is removable. This makes the hydroponic system very easy to maintain. Many competitors do not have such a clever design.
The bowl has a capacity of 2.4 liters up to the ‘Fill to Here’ mark.
Inside there is a pump that we will talk about later. Besides, there is a water level sensor which will tell you when you need to add water.
The pump is powerful as it can pump up to 270 liters per hour. It also appears to be sturdy and includes a filter, which suggests a long lifespan.
The pump is supported by rubber cushions, which is a definite advantage. This helps minimize both noise and vibration from the pump.
By default, the pump operates for 5 minutes and then rests for 25 minutes. However, you have the option to customize its working mode through the menu.
Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim Pump Parameters
The Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim’s grow deck features a rather clever design. The plant holes are arranged in a single row, which proves to be very convenient for trimming or harvesting purposes.
The size of the grow deck measures 15.1″ x 4.8″ (38.5 x 12.3 cm), providing ample space between the 6 growing holes. However, it’s unfortunate that the device does not come equipped with covers for the unused holes.
The deck is composed of two parts. Inside, there are channels that ensure the water is evenly distributed among the plants, thereby enhancing the system’s efficiency.
To refill the water, there is a hole on the deck accompanied by a lid. Additionally, the deck can be easily removed for unit maintenance.
Base and control panel
The Aerogarden Harvest Elite Slim features a base that holds the bowl, while a light hood is connected to the base via a post.
The base is equipped with a control panel, comprising a screen and four buttons. This panel allows you to customize the system according to your preferences, and I will provide more details on this in the next article.
Additionally, the base includes two sockets for the pump and power adapter. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity available, meaning you cannot control the device using an app.

Seed pods and plant food
Also, in the box, I found a kit of seed pods. It contains six baskets with pre-seeded sponges in them. The seed varieties included are:
- Genovese Basil
- Curly Parsley
- Thai Basil
There is also a 100 ml bottle of plant food. This is the standard bottle that comes with almost all models from this company.
Finally, there is an instruction manual included with the device. This concludes the unboxing of the AeroGarden Harvest Elite Slim hydroponic system. I wish you success and all the best!
