Connect all wires
Place the bowl on the base. Next, plug the pump cord into the base. After that, connect the power cord to the base.
Pour water into a bowl
Place the grow deck on the bowl. Remove the filler cap and pour water into the bowl up to the “Fill to Here” mark.
Use tap water or distilled water. My experience is that distilled water gives slightly better results.
Add plant food
The next thing you need to do is add plant food. Shake the bottle well so that the solution becomes homogeneous. Add one full capful of plant food to the bowl.
Put the seed pods
Place the seed pods in their seats. Make sure that they are well seated in the holes and do not wiggle.
Cover the seed pods with grow domes
Cover the seed pods with grow domes. This is very important in the early stages because it improves seed germination. The grow domes should be removed when you see the seedlings sprouting.
Set the light hood to the lowest position
Put the light hood in the lowest position. This way you can direct almost all the light into the seed pods.
Raise the light hood as the plant grows taller.
Apply power to the device
The last thing you need to do is apply power. The device will now turn on every day at the same time. Also, the system will remind you after 14 days to add plant food.
If you want to set a new time for the system to start, follow my instructions below.
At the desired time, 6 am, for example, press the button on the light hood and hold it for 5 seconds. When you see the light next to the button blinking, this means that the new time has been set. The system will now turn on at 6 am and run for 15 hours, that is until 9 pm.
