Pour 2.5 liters of water into a bowl. The surface of the water should touch the “Fill to Here” mark. Use distilled or bottled water. Also, in most cases, tap water will work fine. But if your tap water is too mineralized, make a mixture of tap water and distilled water.

Add plant food

Step Two – Add 2 capfuls of plant food directly to the bowl.
Add 2 capfuls of plant food directly to the bowl. This is enough to feed the plants for two weeks. Avoid putting in too much nutrition as this can cause burning of the roots.
Place seed pods in the holes

Step Three – Place the seed pods into the holes.
Place the seed pods into the holes. The basket should sit tightly in the hole and if it does not, rotate it so that it sits well in place. Avoid removing the foil from the top of the seed pods as it prevents algae growth on the sponge.
Place humidity domes

Step Four – Place humidity domes on top of each seed pod.
Place humidity domes on top of each seed pod. This will provide high humidity for successful seed germination. As soon as you see a seedling emerge, remove the humidity dome immediately. Do not throw the domes away as you will need them for reuse.
Connect the water pump

Step Five – Connect the water pump to the system.
Connect the water pump to the system. There is a socket on the back of the device into which you need to insert the plug that supplies power to the water pump. Do this before you connect the device to the electricity.
Connect the Aerogarden Harvest to power

Step Six – Connect the Aerogarden Harvest to electricity.
Connect the Aerogarden Harvest to electricity. Make sure that all parts are in place beforehand. Then insert the plug into the power socket and the light should come on and the water pump should work. You will also see that the indicators on the control panel start to glow in different colors.
Set the minimum light height

Step Seven – Set the light hood to its lowest position.
Set the light hood to its lowest position. In this position, all the light will go directly to the seed pods. As the plants grow you need to raise the light hood higher.
Reset plant food timer

Step Eight – Reset the plant nutrition timer.
Reset the plant nutrition timer. To do this, press the button with the leaf that glows green for 5 seconds. Then the green light should flash three times. This means that you have reset it and after 14 days it will remind you to add more plant food.
That’s it for now, have a great harvest!
